HCP’s ‘Ringo Refill Jar’ not only has a reduced environmental impact with a refillable inner jar, it also has a significantly reduced material weight due to the outer jar ‘ring’ design, with the PP refill pod forming the base.
As well as utilising recyclable materials (PET, PP, PE), the jar can be easily disassembled by the consumer, part by part, ready to recycle in the domestic waste stream. Secured with a click-fit within the recess of the outer jar, the refillable inner pod can be released with a unique and effortless push-out gesture from the underside. The inner pod can be decorated or used to display base label information clearly at all times.
Although refillable jars are not new and are available in the market, many designs are awkward to handle when replenishing and removing empty inner pods. As well as meeting exemplary sustainability criteria, the ‘Ringo Refill Jar’ offers a new, simple ‘pop out’ refill gesture that is easy and inclusive: accessible to everyone, including for consumers with moderate motor ability issues.
